In tough times like these, when polarization of opinions within UNESCO and politicization of our Organization due to the efforts of certain states are at unprecedented levels, it is more important than ever to recall the actual role and place of UNESCO in the world.
During the meeting of the Coordinating Committee for UNESCO Chairs in Kazan, two Russian universities received tentative approval for establishment of such departments.

In April 2022, undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Donetsk National Technical University (DNTU) completed academic internship at Russia’s oldest technical university. Two groups totaling over 130 people were made exclusively of women because all local men of drafting age have been mobilized for military service.

The UNESCO Chair of the Institute of Asian and African Studies is a subdivision of the Moscow University and a component of the international network of UNESCO Chairs. Several blocks of study courses are taught there, including the additional experimental module on Sustainable Development Goals.
