The “Eurasia Global” Youth Forum

The 5th International Youth Forum “Eurasia Global” was held on September 2–8 in the Orenburg Region. For the first time, this year’s event was held under the auspices of UNESCO and was organised by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Youth Resource Centre and the Government of the Orenburg Region with the support of the Government Commission on Compatriots Living Abroad.

The Forum was attended by 500 young delegates from approximately 50 countries and 80 Russian regions. Around 1,000 people from 60 countries had the opportunity to join the event online. Young Russians living abroad became actively involved in the work of various themed platforms. An important outcome of the Forum was the official launch of the Automated Information System “Young Compatriots”, aisrussia.com — a platform designed to bring together young compatriots from different countries.

The Forum was first held in 2016. Over these years, it pooled together over 600 volunteers, 250 experts and guests, welcomed around 3,000 participants from a hundred states across the globe, and featured 338 hours of educational and business activities.
