For the Sustainable Development of Civilization: Cooperation Science, Education, Technology

Dear friends!

Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia named after Patrice Lumumba is to host the 3rd International Scientific Conference ‘For the Sustainable Development of Civilization: Cooperation Science, Education, Technology’. The conference is scheduled to be held from 19-22 November.

The main topic – Latin America and the Caribbean’s Path to 17 SDGs: Integrated Approach.

The aim of the Conference is to discuss priority issues of our time, problems and challenges, possible trends and directions for the development of Latin America and the Caribbean by the expert and youth scientific community, as well as to raise awareness about the global goals of sustainable development of humanity.

The conference objectives include:

  • formulating an agenda for experts and young researchers based on the principles of cooperation and partnership, the priority of sustainable development goals;
  • organizing interaction between educational, research institutions and public authorities within the framework of research and technical events at the regional and world levels;
  • continuing the development of a working platform to discuss and exchange experience among experts, practitioners and young researchers. 

Conference format: hybrid (in-person and distance, using information and communication technologies to connect participants). The expected number of participants is at least 1,500.

Core target audience: representatives of expert scientific communities of Russia, the BRICS countries, Latin America and the Caribbean. 

Attendees: Russian and foreign leading scientists, young researchers, representatives of government authorities, representatives of various business areas, experts in sustainable development, environmental, social and corporate governance.

  • Economics, Politics, Law, Partnerships (4 sessions):
o   SDG 1 (No Poverty)

o   SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth)

o   SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure)

o   SDG 10 (Reduced Inequality)

o   SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production)

o   SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions)

o   SDG 17 (Partnership for the SGDs)

 

RUDN University will serve as a working platform for the exchange of experience among researchers, company leaders, government officials and experts in sustainable development, environmental, social and corporate governance. Specialists will share their knowledge and experience to implement research, academic and socially significant projects to achieve the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. In 2024, the regional focus of the Conference is Latin America and the Caribbean.
