Kazan to host UNESCO Forum on Intercultural Dialogue

Kazan is going to host UNESCO Forum "Dialogue of Civilizations". Details can be found on the organization's website.

Under the Intercultural Dialogue Forum, there will be held a regional meeting of national coordinators of the network of associated schools of UNESCO (NAS) from over 50 countries. This meeting will be held in conjunction with 65th anniversary of UNESCO. The meeting topics include discussion of advanced methods, innovative and pedagogical approaches in the field of education in North America, Europe, and Russia.

This event to be held from 4 through 7 September. Founders are Russian Commission for UNESCO Affairs and UNESCO special envoy for intercultural dialogue Mintimer Shaimiev.

Besides that, this Forum involves that the University of Management "TISBI" to host a Regional Conference of National Coordinators of NAS from countries of Europe and North America expected to be attended by delegates from 30 countries and 22 Russian regions.

Topics of this conference include such issues as intercultural education, observance of cultural diversity and heritage, sustainable development and stable mode of life, global citizenship, culture of peace, refusal of violation as well as potential of IKT in respect of intercultural education.
