Audrey Azoulay, the Director General of the organization, and Grigory Ordzhonikidze, the Secretary of Russian Commission for UNESCO Affairs, sent in the Region official letters to notify that patronage for the Forum has been approved due to relevance of the declared objectives.
Audrey Azoulay in her letter expresses her pleased to notify that this International Festival corresponds to priorities of their organization. She believes that this Festival will facilitate development of international cooperation through culture and promote improvement of public awareness of cultural development. She also expresses her deep pleasure to endow this Festival with UNESCO patronage and wishes success in execution of this event.
Russian Commission for UNESCO Affairs has also expresses her support to the project. Grigory Ordzhonikidze in his letter also wishes all participants and founders of the Forum productive work and further achievements.
It is worth reminding that VIII International Cultural Forum "Forum Creative Industries" to be held in the Region from 21 to 23 September and will be the key event of the Year of Smart Technologies and Creative Industries.
Tatyana Ivshina, Director of Fund "Ulyanovsk is the Capital of Culture", underscores that this Festival has been bestowed with UNESCO patronage for six straight years. She notices that founders of this event value this patronage very high and consider it as recognition of not only Russian domestic bu international importance and relevancy of issues raised under this Forum.
The Head of the Region, Sergey Morozov, promotes annual execution of this event. Founders are the Government of Ulyanovsk Region, the Ministry of Arts and Cultural Politics and the Fund "Ulyanovsk - is the Capital of Culture".
This time, the project comprises educational seminars, workshop sessions, and lectures. Founders of this project believes that it is going to become a communicational platform for government, representatives of creative business, and urban communities. This Forum is believed to become a place for discussions on potential of creative industries, and their influence on development of regions. It is going to be a large-scale educational field for entrepreneurs, a driver for creative communities to push forward their business.
Citizens of Ulyanovsk will be introduced a wide cultural program giving them and guests of the Region the option to get acquainted with the best examples of Russian and international practices in the field of the theater, music and arts. The theatrical performance under Russian Theatrical Festival "Gold Mask" is expected to be the largest event, and it to be the fifth time that this event is held in this Region.
Ulyanovsk Region and United Nations have been closely communicating in respect of education-, science-, and culture-related issues for many years. In December 2015, Regional Center joined the UNESCO Network of Creative Cities regarding the topic of "Literature" and is the single representatives of Russia in this rating.
