Russia is re-elected to the UNESCO Anti-Doping Committee

Elections to the membership of the Project Approval Committee of the Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport were held on September 26, 2017 during the sixth session of the Conference of Parties to the International Convention against Doping in Sport.

Italy, Russia, Chile, China, Cameroon and Kuwait were elected its members for the coming two-year period.

The candidature of Russia was unanimously supported by Electoral Group 2 and was elected by acclamation.

Mr A.Yakubov, adviser to the Minister of Sport of Russia, will represent our country in the Fund. His predecessor, Mr Aleshin, was elected to the chairmanship of the Committee for the last six years.

Russia is one of the main sponsors of the Fund, established under the Convention.
