An international conference on the exchange of experience in the field of preventive anti-doping work was organized on September 6 and 7 in St. Petersburg by the National Lesgaft State University of Physical Culture, Sport and Health, subordinate to the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation and St. Petersburg Scientific Research Institute of Physical Culture.
Representatives of the Ministry of Sport of Russia, Russian Anti-Doping Agency "RUSADA", the Council of Europe and the World Anti-Doping Agency took part in the conference.
During the conference, projects of educational programs on anti-doping subjects for higher educational institutions, schoolchildren and athletes of different levels were discussed. Dominic Muser, Head of Prevention Unit of the German Anti-Doping Agency spoke about anti-doping programs, which are implemented in Germany for various educational institutions, as well as about the role of regional authorities in anti-doping prevention.
As a result of the event, a comparative analysis of the educational strategies of the Russian and German anti-doping agencies was made. In addition, the issues of organizing further educational activities were discussed, taking into account the use of best international practice, aimed at the formation of zero tolerance for doping in the Russian Federation.
