The XIV Youth School-Conference on Organic Chemistry will continue a series of school conferences, which have been held annually since 1998 (Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Moscow, Ufa, Ivanovo), for the purpose of advanced training of young scientists specializing in organic chemistry. The event will be held on May 10-14, 2011 in Yekaterinburg, within the framework of the Year of Chemistry.

The conference is organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, D.I. Mendeleev Russian Chemical Society, Scientific Board on Organic and Organoelemental Chemistry of RAS, Institute of Organic Synthesis of RAS, Ural Division, Institute of Organic and Physical Chemistry KSC RAS, Ural Federal University of NPO “Ligand”.

The conference topics include the following issues: organic synthesis, heterocyclic chemistry, high molecular weight species, structure and reactivity, supramolecular chemistry,  chemistry of natural products and advanced organic materials. The conference program includes lectures by leading experts, oral reports by participants, presentations, and a competition for undergraduate and graduate students with a basic discipline of organic chemistry.

The reports brief outlines will be published, materials for lectures, oral and poster presentations by the participants will be presented in a separate collection of scientific papers of the conference, as well as on the web site http://uoc.ustu.ru/ and CD
